The GSE is a low power intrusion sensor specifically designed for targeted applications. The GSE is available in three configurations, either seismic, passive infrared (PIR) or magnetic. They utilize a small, water tight, corrosion proof enclosure which can be deployed above ground or concealed underground for security. Only the antenna needs to be above ground for proper operation.
GSE sensors communicate alarm information using a linear VHF radio. The VHF band penetrates foliage better than unlicensed radios at higher frequencies. Programmable self test messages are used to convey the status of each sensor including battery level. GSE sensors are easily programmed with the hand the GS-30 programmer.
The GSE-1 is a dedicated seismic sensor used to detect and report pedestrian movement. There are 4 sensitivity settings for the GSE-1, low, medium, high and very high, allowing the sensor to be custom configured to respond accurately in all types of geographical areas. Additional user controlled settings include cadence and the number of footsteps required to trigger the sensor.
The GSE-2 is a dedicated magnetic sensor used to detect metal objects such as vehicles. The GSE-2 can be configured to accommodate various types of deployment situations, with 3 sensitivity settings, low, medium and high. Vehicle direction of travel indication can be reversed for even more versatility.
The GSE-3 is a Passive Infrared (PIR) only device used to detect direction of a heat source such as a vehicle or pedestrian.
