This mushroom type non-electric starter is quick and easy to use. It can be initiated by stomping on it with your foot. Uses a #209 shot shell primer to detonate. This design has been proven very reliable for over 20 years. It features a solid pedestal for the primer and a secured spring designed for commercial use.
Ideal recommends using only Remington primers. Maintenance is required like any gun/pistol due to the carbon buildup from the primer and shock tube. Simply use a pipe cleaner and some gun solvent to clean out the pathways.
