Our Alpha, Beta and Beta  Gamma 3-Probe simulator set provides you with a training system that enables your students to experience the operational features of real Mirion / Canberra probes and also inverse square law and shielding without the need to utilize real radiation sources or radioactive materials.

The simulation probes respond to safe electromagnetic and magnetic simulation sources that simulate alpha, beta and gamma radiation, removing regulatory, environmental, and health and safety concerns for you and your students. You can use the simulation sources anywhere, including within public buildings. The Beta Gamma probe is compatible with the Argon PlumeSIM system for wide area tactical field and nuclear emergency response exercises enabling you to ensure everyone knows what to do when that emergency comes.

The  training set comprises three simulation probes for use with the real RDS100 / PDR77 and CDV 718 meters:

  • BG-SIM-P* for training in the use of the Beta Gamma probe
  • A-SIM-P for training in the use of the Alpha probe
  • B-SIM-P for training in the use of the Beta probe

*The BG-SIM-P can also be used with the AN/VDR-2 radiac meter to simulate the DT616/VDR-2 probe. See the Argon 616-SIM literature separately.
