The GS-40 and GS-50 (enhanced) fixed repeaters are rugged, weather tight RF relay station that is specially designed for use in fixed installations in remote areas. It functions efficiently by using a single synthesized transponder to monitor encoded alarm signals. When a valid alarm is received, a second synthesized transponder and RF amplifier are powered up to retransmit the alarm.
The GS-40 and GS-50 repeaters can receive on one frequency and retransmit on a second. The signals may originate from sensors as well as other repeaters and are sent on to the next receiving unit (a monitor or another repeater).
The GS-40 and GS-50 repeaters can be programmed to receive, and retransmit all incoming alarms, monitor twenty (20) specific block addresses, or monitor ten (10) unique addresses. This enables the unit to repeat only primary sensor alarms. Two sets of normally open and normally closed relay contacts can be set to close for a user-specified time when a valid alarm is received.
Power for the fixed repeaters comes from a user- supplied 12-watt battery. A second power input allows for connection to a 12 volt photovoltaic array having an output of up to 100 watts. This solar input runs through a sophisticated regulator to maintain the battery at full charge during the day while protecting the solar panel from battery discharge at night. A third auxiliary power port may be used to power the unit directly, charge the battery, connect a battery monitor, or to power an external device etc.
