The GS-71 is an upgraded version of the GS-70 and RD-105 base stations. This 19rack mounted unit has many new features that have been added as a result of customer suggestions. All previous alert receive functions and frequency programing have been retained and several new features have been added.
With the growing need to provide equipment with network connectivity, the GS-71 has been upgraded with an embedded (Lantronix) Ethernet networking solution. This upgrade offers a simple and reliable way to seamlessly establish network connectivity from the GS-71 onto your network or the internet. Now it is possible to receive Vortex sensor signals from the field and seamlessly forward that data into your operations center wherever it may be located around the world.
Additional upgrades include an internal battery backup and charger that will allow the GS-71 to continue to operate for several hours following power loss. In the event of an extended power interruption the GS-71 will provide a low battery alert when the internal battery is nearing depletion.
New features released in the GS-71 include self-test, external tamper, switch contacts and a relay that can activate external security cameras. These features allows you to remotely determine if the GS-71 is functioning correctly and if the security housing around the unit or building access doors have been opened. These features will give you daily peace of mind as well as alert you when someone may be in a restricted area near the GS-71.
All programing functions may be accomplished via the new backlit keypad or via a computer interface. It is no longer necessary to open the GS-71 housing to adjust frequency and operational parameters.
Our hats are off to all of the customer suggestions! Keep your thoughts coming and we will keep building the quality equipment so that you to accomplish your mission critical assignments.
