These boards are designed to be used specifically with SNL/NNSA XTK Digital Imaging software. The board provide XTK software with the data necessary for a precision firing solution.
The upgraded black grid aim boards are designed to absorb laser splash from the SL-500 laser, allowing a more accurate firing solution. Each grid aim board is manufactured with G-10 fiberglass which contains precisely machined tungsten dots embedded into a silk screened grid. The boards are designed to be used specifically with SNL/NNSA XTK Digital Imaging software. The grid aim boards will provide the software with the data necessary for a precision firing solution.
The tungsten buttons are a heavy metal, and come out well when taking x-rays through thick walled objects such as cargo containers, vehicles, etc. Although the grid aim boards were designed for re-use, they are both thin and light enough that they can be fired through with minimal to no effect on the shot.
